A graduate from B.C.I.T in both Business Management and Financial Planning diplomas, Nathan obtained his BA in 2005.  He began his career working in the financial industry in 2003 as a retail financial adviser in Canada's largest financial institution.  Recognizing that he could offer his clients a wider breadth of products and services as an independent and left to open his private financial planning practice in 2010.

Nathan deeply believes that financial literacy is an essential life skill, his goal is to provide the critical tools that can help the individuals and corporations who trust in him, to make better informed financial decisions.  As an independent Certified Financial Planner and as an associate of various firms such as Booth Scott, Nathan has had the pleasure to provide independent financial advice to thousands of employees and their families within the multiple Pensions and Group RSPs that he helps to manage.  

Nick Simpson, Senior Counsel,

The Canada Life Assurance Company

Nick Simpson is Senior Counsel for The Canada Life Assurance Company.  Nick graduated from the University of Western Ontario Law School in 2007 and has worked for Canada Life for nearly 10 years. 

 

Nick supports Canada Life’s wealth management business, for both individual and group customers, including supporting Quadrus, its mutual fund dealer and Canada Life Investment Management Ltd., its investment fund manager.  Nick currently acts as corporate secretary for Canada Life Investment Management Ltd.

Ian Mooney, Partner

Ian is a passionate independent Certified Financial Planner who is focused on helping clients achieve their goals of financial independence.  He takes pride in knowing the details well, yet he has the unique ability of explaining everything in clear, straight forward, and easy to understand language.

Before forming McLeod Mooney, Ian opened his first independent practice (Element Integrated Financial Solutions) in 2014.  That same year he qualified for the Million Dollar Round Table – “The Premier Association of Financial Professionals” and earned the accolades of Rookie of the Year at Customplan Financial Advisors.
